What started out as a personal inspiration board, turned into a pretty serious blog.

The Design Blog brings you carefully picked high quality inspiration, featuring works of designers and design studios from all over the world with the main focus on young designers/ students.  Except from the daily inspiration, every Sunday one random person is selected for each of our three sections:  Designer of the week;  Cover of the week;  Quote of the week, and their work is showcased on TDB Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. Since this blog is all about great ideas, design, and creativity, everyone’s invited to be a part of it.

About Ena Baćanović - Ruby 

Founder / Editor  / Graphic Designer

Name is Ena Bacanovic, but Ruby for everyone. 21 years old, from Vinkovci but now living and working in Zagreb / Croatia. My first encounter with Graphic Design was back in the days of Elementary school - in Art class, and since then, design is something that I do every day. I love making simple and clean things that have complicated stories behind them, with a dose of humor, if possible. When I’m not on the computer working on a new projects or sleeping, I play drums in a female band Punchke.

How to submit your work for our sections?

Designer of the week

Send an email with a short biography, link to you work and five JPEG files of your work to: thedsgnblog@gmail.com, or use “Submit” section and send a link to your work + a short biography.

Cover of the week

Design something new or use some of your designs (illustrations, photography, typography etc.), to create a GIF / JPEG image for our Timeline cover. Send the file (we recommend this size: 851x315) on this email (thedsgnblog@gmail.com) together with a short (but really short) info about yourself and a link to your website!

Quote of the week

Submit an existing or your own quote (name a person if it’s not your own) + a really short info about yourself. Email is: thedsgnblog@gmail.com
