"Art direction & editorial design for Adé, a small online collective of hand picked trinkets for modern day apartment space living, based in Sydney, Australia."

Sorbet is a multidiscipline design studio based in Auckland, New Zealand. We help brands gain clarity, value and a collective vision through design.

The motto is simple: tell your story, and tell it well. They help their clients establish a clear direction and identity, then match that with a strong design aesthetic that encapsulates exactly what their brand is about. Each project is meticulously researched, every avenue explored, with a bespoke visual language being the end result. It’s more than just a logo to them, it’s your story.

MICA Grad Show 2014    |    View on Behance

This year-long project pulled together content from the Maryland Institute College of Art’s sixteen graduate programs to promote and record graduating student work. They developed an identity system that looks great on its own but can also showcase bright artwork, then designed and developed a responsive website, mailers, poster, and forthcoming print catalog.

"A Clockwork Orange broaches the issue of the freedom of the individual by using the protagonist Alex. The recipient accompanies Alex through the plot and takes his point of view. He senses whenever Alex acts in a state of free will and he senses whenever Alexs free will is limited. Furthermore in some passages he takes a point of view above Alex as a spectator.

The notices being made in this position are arranged in a subtle visual and typographical staging. The recipient is being tricked. He thinks to be in full control about his way of reading. In fact the typographical staging has control about the recipient and guides him in one’s sole discretion.”

Sherpa focuses on the development, optimization and management of brands in various disciplines such as Corporate Design and Publishing as well as Digital Branding.
